QuizOffice renewed: everything that has arrived since 2023

QuizOffice renewed

The previous release went out in January 2023. Almost three years have passed since then, and new features arrived in eight releases along the way — all of which have now gone live at once. The interface is different, and several things are in it that simply were not there before.

This post goes through all of them. If you only read one, make it the first.

All of this is free — for teachers, students, parents and schools. Since 1 September 2026, QuizOffice has been entirely free of charge for individuals and educational institutions: creating worksheets, filling them in, the course material library, the formulas and the AI-written worksheet too. There is no limited trial period and no “free plan” you outgrow.

A subscription is needed for business use only — internal training, onboarding, health and safety courses, compliance tests. The plans are on the Prices for companies page.

Worksheets written by your own AI

This is the biggest news. You connect the AI assistant you already use — ChatGPT or Claude — to QuizOffice, and ask it for the worksheet in plain language:

“Make a 10-question practice worksheet on the Battle of Hastings for year 7. Shuffle the questions and show only 5 of them per attempt.”

The assistant then writes the questions with the correct answers on your behalf, sets the category, the grade level and the completion rules, puts formulas into the question and adds images. If you hand it your own notes or a PDF, it works from those — the questions will be about your material, not about generalities.

What matters is that a draft is created. Students see nothing of it until you have reviewed it and published it. AI can get things wrong, so it is always worth checking the correct answers.

There is no extra charge: you use your own AI subscription. Connecting it is a one-off step that takes a couple of minutes — everything you need is here, step by step.

The course material and the task in one place

Until now your notes lived in one place and the worksheet in another. From now on you can upload them to your own course material library, organise them into folders and attach them to a worksheet. You can require the student to download the material first and only then start filling it in.

You can also search backwards: for any given material, you can see which of your worksheets it appears on.

Fractions, roots and powers — in the question at last

In maths, physics and chemistry tasks you used to have to paste formulas in as images, or describe them in words. Now the formula is part of the question: it appears in the question, in the description and in the explanation, and it works in fill-in text tasks too. While you are editing, you can see how it will look.

What a machine cannot mark

Not every answer is multiple choice. With an essay question the student answers in their own words and you score it by hand. In the class results you can see which test is still waiting to be marked and which you have finished; until then the student is told that their answer is being assessed by the teacher.

Written answers, argument, composition — these can now go into QuizOffice too.

The flashcard arrived alongside it: a front and a back, a word and its translation, for practice.

Can’t remember what you called it?

If your worksheets have been piling up for years, searching by title is hopeless. The search now looks inside the text of the questions as well — in the shop, in your own list, in the question bank and in the media library. One word you remember from a question is enough.

Everyone sees what matters to them

After signing in, everyone gets their own overview: the teacher sees their worksheets and the tests awaiting marking, the student sees what needs filling in and their own progress, the parent sees their children’s results, and the institution or company sees figures for the whole organisation.

The mandatory worksheet came with this: a worksheet can be marked as mandatory, and a warning stays on the student’s and the parent’s dashboard until it has been completed. A worksheet can also be given a validity period, from and to.

For companies: proof that everyone completed it

Sign-ins, completions and edits are logged, and the log can be exported from the company dashboard. With a health and safety or fire safety course, the question is not whether you held it, but whether you can prove it — this is what that is for.

The mandatory worksheet and the attached, compulsorily downloaded course material close the same loop together.

And what else fitted in

  • Reports. Accented characters finally appear correctly in the PDFs; printing and Excel export for class results.
  • Order of questions. The questions in a worksheet can be rearranged.
  • Media library. Folders stay open as you left them, resizing and scrolling are more comfortable, and it asks before deleting.
  • Signing in with a Google account. With a verified email address the registration is confirmed immediately, with no waiting for the email.
  • Formatted description. The worksheet description and the explanation are written in a formatting editor.

Let’s get started

As written above: as a teacher, a student, a parent or a school, all of this is free of charge, and that covers everything you have read in this post.

If you do not have an account yet, register here, and your first worksheet can be ready today.
