Surveys? Those can be put together quickly and easily in QuizOffice too!

worksheets survey blog

In our previous article we got to know how to use the media library, and we can already create a worksheet too, but we have not yet talked about the fact that the QuizOffice interface is suitable for producing surveys as well! When can I fill in/create a survey?First of all, it is important to make clear that only companies, and teachers invited to those companies, have the option of creating a survey!

We have already been through the scopes in our article Learn to use the QuizOffice site, where roles were also discussed. In your “Personal scope” you can see which companies and groups you are a member of, that is, where you have been invited.

If every condition is met, then you are entitled to fill in the surveys you receive here, or to edit them or create a new survey, depending on the role in which you received the invitation.

What is the difference between creating a survey and a worksheet?

Creating a survey is very similar to creating a worksheet. The difference between them is that when we start creating our survey, then, just as with a worksheet, we can specify a type and a category here too, but:

Under the “Task type” option we can only select the survey, and under “Categories” you can only select your own, those you have been invited to, or those you created yourself. That is, a survey cannot be created in a public category. With a worksheet it looks like this: when choosing the “Category” it brings up our own, closed categories as well as the public ones, and we can decide which one we want to create the survey in.

How can you create a survey?

In the left-hand menu click on “Record survey”, which takes you to the first step.

  • Choose the “Worksheet type” (here you can only select the survey)
  • Give a “Category” for where the survey should go (here there will only be closed categories)

You can also create your own category within the surveys:

  • Go to the “Your company worksheets” menu item in the left-hand menu
  • There choose the “Surveys” folder
  • And on the right-hand side, by clicking the “New category” button, you can specify the new category
  • Name the survey
  • You can give it a short description
  • Attach a cover image to it
  • You can also add an image to the survey
  • Finally choose from the options, of which there will be far fewer than with a worksheet

In the case of surveys there is no preview option, so you cannot select that either.

Show explanations: you can add an explanation to certain questions, which will be shown if you select this option.

Allow partial completion: if you tick this, the system will allow the survey to be submitted even with certain questions left unanswered.

The way questions are displayed: I can choose whether all the questions should appear on one page, whether the questions can be answered one by one, or whether it should only move forward one at a time, that is, there should be no option to go back to the previous questions.

Before you move on to the questions, it is worth saving the interface you have edited so far!

  • Adding questions (here too you can only choose from 4 question types):
  • One answer
  • Multiple answers
  • Question list

(As there are only 2 answer options in the evaluation, it is worth choosing a pie chart.)

  • Likert scale

(You have to set what size scale you want, between 2 and 10.)

  • You can also provide a text option, so that after the person filling it in has given their answer, they can set out their opinion at greater length in text form.
  • With the questions you can also choose which chart the evaluation should be shown on:
  • Bar
  • Pie
  • Line
  • Then you type in the answer options.

Once you have finished the survey, you can even publish it, because without giving out the survey’s link nobody will see it and nobody can fill it in either.

How can I look at the results of the completions?

If completions have already come in, you can view the results as well; just click the 3 vertical dots next to the survey’s name and choose “View results” there. There it will show you the results of the answers given to the questions in the charts you specified.

You can even print this out, but you can also export the data to Excel.

That was all there is to creating a survey – simple, isn’t it? 😊
