Over the coming weeks we would like to show you step by step how a good QuizOffice worksheet is built up, which settings you absolutely must provide, and what tools you have at your disposal.
So that every digital practice or assessment worksheet is as enjoyable as possible for your students, and so that you too can rest assured that everything is in order, it is worth thinking through and taking a few things into account right at the start.
- Wherever we could, we have added explanatory and warning texts to the buttons and settings, so that from the beginning it is as clear as possible to you what you are actually doing. All you have to do is hold the mouse pointer over them for a moment and the little text appears!
- You can create public and closed worksheets, depending on who you would like to use them for.
- Think through who you would like to prepare worksheets for, and categorise them accordingly right from the start.
Once you have done all this, the real creative “work” can begin!
We are sure that during traditional teaching you have put together worksheets many times, starting with roughly working out what tasks should be in them, finding the most suitable one, comparing it with the classroom exercises, adjusting it a little or working from existing material. Until now you either created it with the help of a document editor and printed it out, or perhaps in truly retro fashion you wrote it by hand, cut, glued and photocopied… And then if there was a single mistake in it, you could start all over again…
The QuizOffice interface, functions, question types and settings have been designed to save you time, so that essentially all you have to do is fill the worksheet you have thought up with content and choose the parameters that suit you!
Now let me show you in 10 points how you can do it:
- Specify which Category (subject) you would like to use it for, and which year group your worksheet is for!
- Add a title to it, and if you would like to give a fuller description, you can do that too!
- For easier identification you must in any case choose a cover image from the Media library.
- You have the option of attaching an existing voice note or recording one for it, or attaching an image characteristic of the worksheet, even using your Own images
- Once you have done all this, it is important that you also determine the appearance of the worksheet, its time limits, difficulty level, minimum requirement and credit value! You can vary these later as well.
- You have to add the questions one by one by clicking the “+new question” button, where, before you type it in, you can choose from the question types below
- Once you have found the type that suits your task, you have to type in the question itself and the possible answers. There is something important to set here too, since with regard to scoring you have to decide question by question on the number of points and the method of evaluation.
- Once you have recorded the questions one after the other, you are still not finished, since you can determine which of your questions should definitely appear for every Student and in what order they receive them.
- Once you have done this too, with the Trial button you have the option of checking your set of questions. With the Data sheet button you can see a summary, and with the Preview button a glimpse of your work.
- After that there is nothing left for you to do but open up the possibility of completion to your students with the Publish button at the top of the page!
It wasn’t difficult, was it?

In our next post we will show you which question types you can choose from, and with examples we will set out in detail how you can make your worksheet varied!
Until then, feel free to prepare a practice set of questions or two, and share your opinion and your observations with us as well!
